At Alex Lockhart Art, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with every purchase. Please read the following policy to understand how we handle returns and refunds for products purchased through our online shop.

1. Returns

1.1 Eligibility for Returns:

  • Only items purchased directly from the Alex Lockhart Art online shop (www.alexlockhartart.co.uk) are eligible for returns.
  • Returns are accepted for prints and original artworks within 14 days of receiving your order, provided the items are in their original condition, undamaged, and in the original packaging.
  • Custom commissions are non-refundable and cannot be returned due to their bespoke nature.

1.2 How to Request a Return:

  • To initiate a return, please contact us at alex@alexlockhartart.co.uk
    within 14 days of receiving your order, providing your order number and reason for the return.
  • We will provide instructions on how to return your item. You are responsible for shipping costs associated with the return unless the item arrived damaged or defective.
  • Items must be returned via a trackable shipping service to ensure their safe arrival. Alex Lockhart Art is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.

2. Refunds

2.1 Refund Process:

  • Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will send you an email notification to confirm receipt. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original payment method within 7-10 business days.

2.2 Non-Refundable Items:

  • Custom commissions and sale items are not eligible for refunds.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable, except in cases where the item arrived damaged or defective.

2.3 Late or Missing Refunds:

  • If you haven’t received a refund within the expected time frame, first check with your bank or credit card company as processing times may vary.
  • If you’ve done this and still have not received your refund, please contact us at alex@alexlockhartart.co.uk.

3. Damaged or Defective Items

  • If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately at alex@alexlockhartart.co.uk with photos and details of the damage. We will arrange for a replacement or full refund, including shipping costs.

4. Exchanges

  • We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, contact us at alex@alexlockhartart.co.uk to arrange an exchange.

5. Shipping Returns

  • You are responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning items, except for cases where the item was damaged or defective.
